“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
– William Butler Yeats
Over the course of my career, I’ve been honored to instruct students at the university level both in person and online in a variety of topics, namely: Beginning French, Intermediate French, Conversational French, French and Francophone Literature and Culture, Beginning English, Intermediate English, Skillful Reading, Skillful Writing, Rhetoric & Composition, Composition I, Composition II, Translation, Creative Writing, Poetry, Fiction, Nonfiction, and more.
I have developed syllabi and been involved in a wide-range of curriculum design and course development initiatives, writing and creating educational content based on precise instructional goals and timelines. I have also participated in the creation of textbooks and digital learning programs.
As a firm believer in the joy brought about by lifelong learning and the power of curiosity to transform our lives, I am especially excited to contribute to the learning journeys of non-traditional students and any individual on a path of reinvention. I also honor the task of equipping young and adolescent learners with the tools needed to be resilient and skilled as they enter their college careers or the job market.
I look forward to sharing student feedback, syllabi, or curricula for insights into my teaching work.
